Scott Langston Leaves The Kore

Walt Snider | 2009 August 16

Scott Langston’s busy schedule prevented him from recording as often as we’d like, so he’s left The Kore.

We’re done recording Kore RPG and…

Walt Snider | 2009 August 14

We finished recording Kore RPG’s Myr Campaign Book One earlier this week and Walt Snider is hard at work getting shows edited on a more regular schedule so there hopefully won’t be any more lapse in the schedule… hopefully!

We ended on recording episode 43, so there’s a little shy of 20 to edit and put up.

Just to keep you on the edge of your seat, as you should be, one of the characters dies in #42. Seriously. Are we going to tell you who it is? Of course not!

Wandering Geek Podcast to be renamed Kore Geek

Walt Snider | 2009 July 1

In February 2009, Curt “The Camera Guy” Arndt planned to podfade the ENnie Award Nominated Wandering Geek Podcast citing lack of time. Curt approached good friend and Kore New Media’s founder, Walt Snider, and asked if he would like to take on the show and add it to Kore New Media’s roster. Walt immediately agreed, indicating that there may be some changes down the road.

The show is still family safe, though mostly because co-host Scott Langston keeps Walt under control! We strive to retain the essence of Wandering Geek Podcast as Curt left it, but have expanded the geeky news offerings, scaling back on the the DVD and MMO news, with Scott rounding out each show with tips on playing boardgames, wargames, and RPGs while traveling.

In keeping with the “Kore” theme that Kore New Media has coined, Wandering Geek Podcast is being renamed to Kore Geek and the official website is now located at www.KoreGeek.com. Same great geek, new name!

Where are Kore News and Kore RPG?

Walt Snider | 2009 June 16

Both, not amazingly, are Ben’s fault!

Kore News: Ben wanted to take over show notes and production, but let two episodes slip by, so Walt has taken everything over again. Expect an episode out Thursday!

Kore RPG: Walt and Ben are the only hosts that live a reasonable drive from each other (20 mins), every other host lives in a different state or country from each other, so Walt drives to Ben’s and we record there for many of our shows and pipe Skype in and talk with the other guys… Ben’s Mac’s soundcard offers better recording quality than any of Walt’s laptops (yeah, he admits it!) so all the recordings are on Ben’s machine… since we weren’t sure what episode number we were recording, Ben named the episode KoreRPG2?.wav. When we searched for “25″, obviously nothing came up, so we assumed either Walt had it on his machine for some reason or it was lost. Fortunately it was found and is in production right now!

By the way: Don’t forget Kore News 100 will be in video and you will NOT want to miss it! Expect it early July!

We’ve been getting a lot of news story submissions from you guys and we really appareciate it! We’re putting the finishing touches on a user-generated show and it should be out this month! Thanks, WE LOVE YOU GUYS!

Kore Commentary for June 2009 (Star Wars I)

Walt Snider | 2009 June 12

On June 21, Kore Commentary will come out. This month, we watch Star Wars episode I (The Phantom Menace).

About half the show is making fun of Jar Jar, but that’s to be expected, right?

Side Note: Walt thinks Qui-Gon Jinn is a city in Korea= Benjamin Adams

If you already have the DVD, awesome, we’ll see you there, but if you don’t, you can buy it from Amazon and have it in time for the realease!
